They have an issue with the blade drive causing or to sound VERY loud and not cut properly. This happened almost right out of the box. The first time was after maybe two days worth of use, and the second replacement started doing this within the first groom. I am so disappointed in this product. I waited so long, and unfortunately they did not deliver.

    Sommer- July 3, 2023

I tested the Joyzze Cordless Raptor($395) against the Andis Pulse ZR II($325). I planned on testing them for a week, but I only lasted, on and off, about 3-5 days. They are very very nice clippers when it comes to cutting the hair. If you didn’t have any other cordless clipper to compare them to, I’m sure you’d be content with them. They cut beautifully with Geib buttercut blades especially. The Joyzze blades are very nice also and take quite a long time to heat up. The Raptors are incredibly light, much lighter than the Pulse, they feel nice in your hand, and they look super bad ass(again, better than the Pulse imo) and they are very very quiet. I didn’t find any issues with battery life or charge time. The drawbacks for me were that I didn’t find the Raptor to be as quick as the Pulse, even on he highest setting. While they cut nicely, I noticed it took more time to get a smooth even finish where as with the Pulse it was quite a bit faster in my opinion, I’m not sure why that is exactly. I tested them by doing one side of my dog with the Raptor and one side with the Pulse and they looked pretty much the same in quality. My coworkers agreed with me when I asked them blindly which side looked better. Now the BIGGEST drawback and also something I found unacceptable when compared to literally any other clipper I’ve used, is that it is incredibly hard to get most blades seated on the clipper correctly. Usually I just load the blade onto the metal latch, close the blade down, turn the clipper on and it catches onto the blade drive and I’m good to go! Literally a 5 second process. With the Raptor I would put my blade on the latch and try to close it down. Most of the time I couldn’t get it to seat down properly let alone catch the blade drive to actually be usable. Over and over I’d pop the blade up and try to push it back down and it wouldn’t seat, I even tried to push it down and turn the clipper on so the blade drive could catch it just in case it was blocking the blade. This is the exact same thing I would do with my other clippers if the blade didn’t snap all the way down. And yet I found myself just getting annoyed and trying a different blade so I could get back to grooming. The only blades is didn’t have this problem with were the Joyzze blades and Geib Buttercut blades. When I was able to get my Andis or Wahl blades to work, they were noticeably louder than the previously mentioned blades. But over all still definitely quieter than the Pulse. All in all, they definitely good, but not as good as other clippers I’ve tried. If asked, I would recommend different clippers.
