I was initially worried this would be a gimmick, but with a bit of detangling spray this removes tangles and helps me break up matted fur with ease. It's also a lot easier on the wrist breaking up mats with this brush, and combing the rest out with a slicker rather than just using a slicker on its own.
Fantastic tool, I highly recommend this for groomers and doodle owners.
